Walk of Witness

The Good Friday Walk of Witness takes place every year on the morning of Good Friday. It is not entirely a social event as we start by walking around the village following the cross, stopping at various points to pray, and then re-enacting the Good Friday events on the green in front of the shops. We then proceed to St. Mary’s to share hot cross buns and fellowship.

It’s a great way to remind ourselves of why Easter is so important.

If you would to join in, we assemble at the Methodist Church at 9.30 a.m. for the walk itself, or if you would just like to join in the re-enactment, join us at St. Mary’s at 10.15 a.m. Good Friday this year is Friday 29th. March.

Below are some pictures of the event from previous years.
